🔍 How it works: Compares line by line using an LCS-based diff algorithm. Added lines are highlighted in green, removed in red, and modified in yellow. Use it for code reviews, document comparisons, or tracking changes.
Diff Checker Features & Interaction
The tool provides a straightforward way to compare text. Here’s how it works:
- Input & Compare: Paste your original text in the left box and the modified version in the right. Click Compare or press
Ctrl+Enterto see the differences. - Visual Highlighting: Changes are color-coded: Added lines (green), Removed lines (red), and Modified lines (yellow). Each line also shows a status symbol (
+,−, or~). - Result Summary: The header displays counts for added, removed, and modified lines. The stats bar shows the total number of changes.
- Utility Actions: Use Swap to exchange the two text boxes, or Clear to reset everything. The tool also auto-compares as you type for quick feedback.
