Advanced Scientific Calculator

Trig, inverse trig, powers, roots, logs, factorial, memory, ANS and DEG/RAD — all evaluated with a safe, purpose-built parser (no eval).

2nd: toggles sin/cos/tan to their inverse (sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, tan⁻¹) for the next press. DEG/RAD switches the angle mode for all trig functions. ANS inserts your last result. Unclosed parentheses are automatically completed when you press =.

Features of Advanced Scientific Calculator

  • Full trig support — sin, cos, tan, and their inverses (sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, tan⁻¹) via the 2nd key, in either degrees or radians
  • Logarithms and roots — natural log (ln), base-10 log, and square root
  • Powers and factorial — x², xʸ for any exponent, 1/x, and n! for factorials
  • Constants built in — π and e, ready to use in any expression
  • ANS key — instantly reuse your last result in a new calculation
  • Full memory functions — M+, M−, MR, and MC for building and recalling a running total separate from ANS
  • DEG/RAD toggle — switch angle mode for all trig functions with one key
  • Auto-completing parentheses — forgot to close a bracket? Pressing = closes any unmatched parentheses automatically
  • Safe by design — every calculation is evaluated with a purpose-built parser, not a raw code evaluator, so there’s no risk of unexpected behavior from what you type
  • Full keyboard support — numbers, operators, Enter, and Backspace all work without touching the on-screen keys

How to Use the Advanced Scientific Calculator ?

  1. Enter a basic calculation. Type numbers and use +, −, ×, ÷ as usual, then press = for the result.
  2. Use a trig function. Press sin, cos, or tan, then enter a value inside the parentheses and press =. The result respects whichever angle mode (DEG/RAD) is currently active.
  3. Get the inverse trig function. Press 2nd first — the sin/cos/tan buttons will visibly switch to show sin⁻¹/cos⁻¹/tan⁻¹ — then press the one you need.
  4. Switch angle mode. Press DEG/RAD to toggle between degrees and radians for all trig calculations.
  5. Use powers and roots. Enter a number and press x² to square it, or press xʸ between two numbers for any exponent (e.g., 2, xʸ, 10, = gives 1024). Press √ before a number for its square root.
  6. Reuse your last answer. Press ANS anywhere in a new expression to insert your previous result.
  7. Build a memory total. Press M+ to add the current value to memory, M− to subtract, MR to recall it into your expression, and MC to clear it.
  8. Clear or correct. Press AC to clear everything, or DEL to remove just the last entry.

Tip: ANS and Memory serve different purposes — ANS always holds only your most recent result, while Memory keeps accumulating until you clear it with MC. Use ANS for chaining one calculation into the next, and Memory when you need to build up a running total across several separate calculations.
