Time Calculator- Add or subtract time durations, apply time to a specific date, or evaluate a full time expression — all in one tool.

Features of Time Calculator

  • Three calculation modes in one tool — add/subtract simple durations, apply a duration to a specific date, or evaluate a full time expression
  • Automatic unit carry-over — results are always normalized (90 minutes displays as 1 hour 30 minutes, not left as an awkward raw number)
  • Add or subtract toggle — switch direction with one click in both the duration and date calculators
  • “Now” button — instantly fill the date calculator with the current date and time
  • Full weekday output — the date calculator shows the resulting day of the week, not just a date, so you can immediately see what day a deadline or event falls on
  • Flexible expression input — type a full expression like 1d 2h 3m 4s + 4h 5s - 2030s + 28h and get one combined answer, without manually adding each term yourself
  • Multiple result formats — every result shows the breakdown in days/hours/minutes/seconds plus the total in seconds, minutes, and hours
  • Safe, purpose-built calculation — the expression parser is custom-written, not based on a raw code evaluator, so arbitrary typed input can’t cause unexpected behavior
  • 100% private — every calculation happens locally in your browser; no dates or times are ever sent anywhere

How to Use the Time Calculator ?

  1. Choose a mode. Select “Add/Subtract Durations” to combine two time lengths, “Add/Subtract From a Date” to find a resulting date and time, or “Expression Calculator” to evaluate a full written-out time expression.
  2. For durations: enter Day/Hour/Minute/Second values for both Time Value 1 and Time Value 2, choose + or −, and click Calculate.
  3. For a date calculation: pick a start date and time (or click Now for the current moment), enter the duration to add or subtract, choose + or −, and click Calculate — the resulting date, day of the week, and time appear instantly.
  4. For an expression: type a time expression using d, h, m, and s for days, hours, minutes, and seconds, connected only by + and − (for example, 2d 5h - 90m + 3600s), then click Calculate.
  5. Read the result. Every result shows a clean Day/Hour/Minute/Second breakdown, plus the total converted into seconds, minutes, and hours for quick reference.

Tip: Any input field left blank in the duration calculators is automatically treated as 0 — you don’t need to manually type “0” into fields you’re not using.
